Accessibility Statement
Designing this site to be usable for everyone
Accessibility is not an afterthought on this site. It is something I rely on personally every day.
I have a condition called ocular rosacea, which makes it difficult to use bright screens, even at their lowest settings. Without dark mode or reduced brightness, I often need to wear special lenses just to work on a computer.
I also have a sister with spina bifida. While mobility differences do not always directly impact how someone navigates a website, that experience has shaped how I think about accessibility as a whole. It reinforces a simple belief: both physical and digital spaces should be built to support everyone.
Ongoing Efforts
This website is continuously being improved to enhance accessibility and usability for all visitors. Efforts include:
Clear, readable typography and sufficient color contrast
Logical structure and consistent navigation
Mobile-friendly and responsive design
Consideration for assistive technologies where possible
This site aims to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, which are widely recognized standards for digital accessibility.
Accessibility is an ongoing process. As content evolves, some areas may require updates or refinement.
Platform Limitations
This website is built on Squarespace. While I take care to implement accessible design and content practices, some functionality depends on the platform’s built-in features and may be outside of my direct control.
