Horror Hub Launch, Location Pages & More

Can you believe it has been almost entire year since I last gave an update? I promise I plan to be a bit more punctual with updates, but I do have good reason for that.

I have been bussssy!

Not only have I been fairly on top of my writing, but I also completely redesigned the website (again lol) and have started what I would call the foundation of building my author brand.

Here’s what I have been working on since we last chatted:

Latest Book Progress

I have been doing a ton of planning for future books (likely novellas or short novels), personal anthologies, and yes, even multiauthor anthologies (since I have decided I want to do that again). I used to have a bad habit of abandoning or rushing through a project so that I can start on the next, but I have really curbed that behavior. So I will finish what I say I’ll finish before moving on (I promise).

For now, they all exist in a master list of “future projects” that I hope will act as a writing journey for me and a reading journey for you.

Aside from that, here is an update on the projects I mentioned last time:

Let These Scars Remain

Let These Scar Remains Tentative Chapter Titles

I still don’t have a cover to show you (sorry), but I at least have a progress update! I now have 14 short stories in draft. I am possibly going to add another one to make it 15 or replace the new story with the weakest.

I know most short story collections have like 10-12 stories, but my first book 64 Deaths had twenty so...hey that’s progress right there!

Aside from fleshing out these stories, I am also fine-tuning the overall theme. Sometimes I have a concept or collective thread that unites all stories in my head, and then I am surprised that they instead work together to shape something else entirely.

We shall see!

For now, here is a preview of story titles. Again, this is subject to change, and I may rework them as I edit. Many of these titles will be kept the same though.

500 Horror Writing Prompts

I am happy to report that I have almost the entirety of this series published! The last book released was Circus, which are the prompts dealing with evil clowns, dastardly ringmasters, animals that attack, and everything that can occur under the Big Top.

You can find the rest of the series on my Amazon page, or scattered around this website, all of which go to...my Amazon page. The book I am working on now is Folklore, which covers legendary beasts, humanoids, conspiracy theories, and all kinds of myths and cultural tall tales. I hope to finish that by mid-July if not sooner.

Next, I will be working on Dark Fantasy, which as you can guess has to do with fairies, unicorns, and familiar fantastical creatures and beings. The final book is Science Fear which is essentially science fiction horror.

After that I plan to wrap all the books up in a special big ass eBook and then the series is done. I enjoy doing prompt books, but they are SO tedious. I really don’t see myself releasing anymore writing prompt books for a good long while because as mentioned, there’s a ton of other projects I want to work on.

You can, however, find more horror writing prompts scattered on the new....

Horror Location Pages

Aside from giving the website a new visual makeover, I also completely redefined the content strategy. While breaking out the events and live classes pages (which I won’t start offering till winter of this year or even spring of 2026), I started thinking of all the fun spooky places I wanted to travel to or that I have been.

I thought to myself, you know what would be super duper cool – having my own personal ledger!  The horror location pages are meant to be a growing entity. I have created pages for some of the most popular cities, related to places I’ve been or want to visit. You can think of these as drafts for now. They have eerie facts, horror writing prompts, a google map integration, and a FAQ.

However, eventually I will also start adding photos and videos of my travels. I also think I will also include “horror inspiration” blogs that will be more writing focused and will live on both the location pages and on the writing blog section of my site. For now, I hope you enjoy learning about each of these cities. It is limited to the United States for now, since I am on a quest to find spooky places in my own backyard, so to speak, but as I mentioned, it’s meant to grow, and grow, and grow.

Speaking of growing, I am exicted to announce…

The Horror Hub

The Horror Hub screencap

The Horror Hub is a member’s only section of the website that will include a ton of resources. I say “will include” because it is by no means completely built out.

For now it has completed writing generators (8 different generators that have 100 options in each one). For example, there is a location generator, atmospheric setting (think weird weather), character, occupation, hobby, object, clothing, and of course, a monster generator. You essentially click a button and then the random whatever pops up with an image and a unique backstory.

In The Horror Hub, I also have the beginnings of:

  • Horror Encyclopedia: This was originally going to be a writing book entitled “Things You Shouldn’t Google,” but I thought it would be more suitable to be a living resource. I am including entries surrounding death, murder, etc. Basically, research that will help you create your horror novel.

  • Writing Templates: This was born because I started to make myself writing templates to use and wanted to share. There are templates for characterization, plot development, etc.

This is where I also plan to house my horror writing video courses and I also want to have writing contests, a listing of places to submit your horror writing, a daily writing prompt, and more! Right now member access is less than $4 because, well, it’s really in the beginning stages. My goal is to finish up by Halloween season, but it is an ambitious project, so I don’t have a solid date yet.

I will keep you updated on progress.

Well, that’s about it!

Stay spooky!
